The goslings have arrived! But these birds are more than what meets the eye. Canada geese are extremely intelligent animals with strong family bonds. Adults pair for life, remaining together as long as both are alive and healthy. The young stay with the adult geese their entire first year, migrating south with their parents and returning north together in the spring. While Canada geese are perceived by some to be a nuisance animal, Central Park is their home and big enough for all New Yorkers to enjoy—whether they're two- or four-legged, feathery or furry. Please treat them with respect, carefully clean up fishing wire and hooks, and never feed your feathered neighbors!
