Elle vit au Minnesota où elle aime jardiner, observer les oiseaux, faire du vélo et du kayak.

Elle adore explorer les petites villes de la prairie et organiser des goûters d'été sous les énormes érables de son jardin.

Phyllis Alsdurf a écrit la série « Countryside Holidays »

Pour le premier album, elle s’était associée avec Jenny Løvlie. Pour la suite, on retrouve Lisa Hunt qui signe pour les illustrations.

Je reprends mon message du fil de Jenny Løvlie pour ensuite parler de l’album du jour – Halloween. Et je vais revenir pour Noël Wink

Cela semble tellement joyeux et pleine de harmonie… on a envie d’entrer dans ses images pour manger et chanter avec ces gens.

Comme je l’ai dit, je trouve Jenny Løvlie trop sympa et voilà après cette lecture, je suis aussi sous le charme de ses illustrations.

J’adore chaque épisode de la série « Countryside Holidays », mais celui-ci est vraiment… extra.

Et non seulement parce que j’adore retrouver Noël dans les livres / albums mais puisque Phyllis Alsdurf a mis une idée au centre que j’apprécie beaucoup : une fête simple. Pas de grands cadeaux, pas de grandes sensations… vraiment partager ce jour avec la famille et les amis.

J’adore.

Et j’aime aussi le graphisme de Lisa Hunt. J’ai vu que le prochain de la série va sortir pour fêter Pâques… juhu !

Pâques ne faisait jamais partie des jours de fêtes que j’aimais. À part colorier les œufs, ça, j’adorais !

Mais sinon, dimanche matin on recevait un petit panier avec des œufs en chocolat et on mangeait les œufs coloriés.
Sinon… rien de spécial.

C’est tout le contraire dans ce bel album de la part de Phyllis Alsdurf et Lisa Hunt.

Après Halloween et Noël, les deux artistes invitent le lecteur à passer Pâques avec eux.

Cela se passe à merveille. Il y a tellement à découvrir, surtout que Pâques rime avec début de printemps et à la ferme il y a tout plein de choses à faire et à voir à ce moment de l’année.

Extra… j’en reviens enthousiaste.
